Caribbean Women in Trade (CWIT) stands at the forefront of empowering and advancing women across the Caribbean who are engaged with or interested in international trade. Established in 2020, CWIT welcomes not only inspiring women with an interest in international trade but also men dedicated to supporting our mission. Our commitment is succinctly captured in our mission: to foster a community that propels the advancement of Caribbean women in international trade. With a robust network that spans 17 countries in the Caribbean and beyond, CWIT has rapidly grown since its inception, boasting over 180 members, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, trade officials, legal and policy advisors, and students. The enthusiasm for our cause was palpable from the start, with over 200 participants attending our inaugural event. From engaging networking events to insightful discussions, CWIT has curated a series of impactful activities that not only connect members but also contribute to the professional and personal growth of Caribbean women in trade.
CWIT also aims to position itself as a key stakeholder in consultations on the challenges and issues affecting Caribbean women in trade, as well as on longer-term initiatives aimed at coordinating members’ access to the technical support they need to succeed and to thrive.
To create a networking and collaborative platform for supporters of Caribbean women in international trade and business;
To promote Caribbean women in trade and their products and services;
To advocate on behalf of all Caribbean women in trade for the advancement of their concerns and resolution of issues/challenges affecting them; and
To facilitate members’ access to technical assistance and support.
